The VISION for the overall Christian ministry outreach work of DoCM comes from Isaiah 1:18, KJV: “Come now, let us reason together, saith the LORD, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” As we reason together:
- We realize and believe that every human being created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26) has great worth and value as a person, regardless of whether their personal opinions and beliefs agree or disagree with those of DoCM. This worth and value dictate that all employees and volunteers that work/serve at DoCM will purpose to always interact with DoCM clientele and supporters with Christlike dignity, respect and all appropriate care, regardless of our differences in personal opinions and beliefs.
- We realize that since the disobedience of Eve then Adam against God in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3), all of humankind has strayed from God’s original design for knowing, worshiping and obeying God supremely, which has earned every human the indictments of Romans 3:23 and 6:23, KJV that say, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” and “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord,” respectively.
- We realize and believe the truth of the gospel message throughout Scripture (the 66 canonized books of the Christian Bible) that declares Christ Jesus, the Son of God, as the Savior Who redeems from sin and sin’s punishment all of repentant humanity that turns to God in and through Christ Jesus for spiritual, eternal salvation.
The VISION for the specific ministry work of biblical counseling, teaching and training comes from the Messianic text of Isaiah 61:1, KJV: “The Spirit of the LORD GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion; to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD that He might be glorified.”
The counseling, teaching and training services provided by DoCM are categorized as “biblical,” since all the morals and principles expressed to DoCM clientele derive their foundation of truth in the 66 canonized books of the Christian Bible, also known as ‘Scripture,’ the ‘word of God’ and the ‘Holy Bible.’
The general and specific visions for ministry at DoCM are carried out through the biblical counseling, teaching and training forums given to us by the LORD God as our way of continuing Christ’s commission to His disciples in Matthew 28:19-20.
